Who Is Nick Emmanwori’s Girlfriend, Raven Johnson? All We Know About Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Star

Nick Emmanwori’s NFL career is off to a great start. In his first year with the Seattle Seahawks, the 21-year-old safety has made it to the Super Bowl. Emmanwori is a former South Carolina Gamecocks player.

While he represented South Carolina’s football team, Emmanwori is also connected to Dawn Staley’s women’s basketball program in South Carolina. The 21-year-old is in a relationship with the Gamecocks’ point guard, Raven Johnson.

They met at the University of South Carolina. Although their relationship timeline isn’t publicly known, their relationship was confirmed around the 2025 NFL Draft when the Seahawks drafted Emmanwori in the second round.

Since then, they’ve become more comfortable in sharing bits of their life together. Emmanwori will be representing the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. Most of the wives and girlfriends of players from both teams are expected to be there.

However, it’s highly unlikely that Johnson will attend the biggest sporting event of the year. While Emmanwori will lace up to take on the New England Patriots for the title, Johnson will have her own professional commitment around the same time.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are playing the Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday at Colonial Life Arena. Their game is scheduled nearly four hours before Super Bowl LX kicks off. Johnson, being the starting point guard for her team, will be representing her team.

It’s unclear whether Emmanwori will be ready for the Super Bowl or not. The Seahawks safety is dealing with an injury that has put his availability in question.

    Nick Emmanwori Injury Update

After a full regular season schedule, players are more prone to injuries as they’ve already put their bodies through months of relentless practice and games. That makes it difficult for teams to stay together when they get to the biggest stage.

On February 5, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Emmanwori hurt his ankle while defending a pass during team practice.

“Seahawks nickelback Nick Emmanwori hurt an ankle while defending a pass late in practice Wednesday. According to the pool report from ESPN’s Kalyn Kahler, several players and coaches went over to comfort the finalist for AP Defensive Rookie of the Year before he walked off the field on his own power,” he posted on X.

As of now, Emmanwori’s status remains questionable for the game. But the Seahawks staff will do their best to get him ready for the game, as his presence on the team’s defense is very important.
