    NFL Salary Cap Tracker 2026: Which Teams Can Spend the Most This Offseason?

    Every March, NFL teams spend millions of dollars on free agents, with hopes to improve their roster for the following season.

    Each year, the NFL salary cap goes up, and so do players’ contracts. This offseason was no different than any other. An NFL-record and estimated $2.3 billion was spent in free agency on the opening day on Monday, March 9. Nine players alone inked annual contract values of $20+ million.

    So far, two of the three biggest spenders in free agency thus far hail from the AFC South with the Tennessee Titans spending the most ($293 million) and the Indianapolis Colts spending the third-most ($237 million.)

    NFL Teams With The Most Cap Space As Of Thursday, March 12

    With the first wave of free agency ending, there are still many teams with a boatload of cap space available, and they likely aren’t done spending in free agency or taking care of in-house contracts.

    Let’s take a look at the teams with most cap space (via overthecap.com):

    #1 – Washington Commanders ($66.3 million)

    #2 – Los Angeles Chargers ($63.5 million)

    #3 – Baltimore Ravens ($54.9 million)

    #4 – Indianapolis Colts ($50.5 million)

    #5 – Tennessee Titans ($50.2 million)

    Top Free Agents Available

    With it being technically just the second official day of the new league year, there are still many impactful free agents available.

    Many notable teams could be on the free agent market for awhile even after the NFL draft.

    Some of the top free agents include quarterback Kyler Murray, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, wide receiver Tyreek Hill, linebacker Bobby Wagner, offensive tackle Taylor Decker, edge rusher Joey Bosa, tight end David Njoku, running back Rachaad White, and many others.

    The NFL Draft is just over a month away, and teams could be waiting until after the draft to add assets in free agency to their teams.
