Top NFL Free Agents in 2026: The Best Available Players on the Market Ft. George Pickens

With the Seattle Seahawks having crowned themselves champions at Super Bowl LX, everyone’s mind is now turning to the offseason. While most coverage is on the upcoming NFL Draft, the reality is that the free agency market is set to offer some good deals, too.

Here are the top players in free agency at each position.

    Quarterbacks

There isn’t much on offer here, with Daniel Jones being the highest-rated quarterback on the free agency market. 2025 was almost a breakthrough year for him, until he tore his Achilles heel in Week 14, which eventually led to the Indianapolis Colts missing the postseason. They’re expected to extend his contract in the upcoming days and possibly use the franchise tag on him.

    • Daniel Jones – Indianapolis Colts
    • Malik Willis – Green Bay

    Wide Receivers

Here, things are way more interesting, with several top receivers being on the free agency market. Dallas’s George Pickens is the best-rated receiver on offer, but there are other options like Tampa’s Mike Evans, Alec Pierce, Romeo Doubs, and more.

    • George Pickens – Dallas Cowboys
    • Mike Evans – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • Romeo Doubs – Green Bay Packers
    • Alec Pierce – Indianapolis Colts

    Running Backs

While not as many top players as at the wide receiver spot, the running back position also offers some interesting choices in the free agency market. Top of the list is New York Jets’ Breece Hall, who has excelled at a struggling franchise. Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travis Etienne Jr. is another important name on offer. One of the heroes of Super Bowl LX for the Seattle Seahawks, Kenneth Walker III, is also in free agency.

    • Breece Hall – New York Jets
    • Travis Etienne Jr. – Jacksonville Jaguars
    • Kenneth Walker III – Seattle Seahawks
    • Javonte Williams – Dallas Cowboys

    Tight Ends

Here, the free agency market lacks the depth that has been shown in other positions. Baltimore Ravens’ Isaiah Likely is the best talent on the market, and there are two or three other players that could attract some attention from franchises.

      • Isaiah Likely – Baltimore Ravens
      • Kyle Pitts Sr. – Atlanta Falcons
      • Chig Okonkwo – Tennessee Titans
      • Dallas Goedert – Philadelphia Eagles

    Offensive Linemen

There’s an incredibly good opportunity for any team to get a transformational player in center Tyler Linderbaum, who was with the Baltimore Ravens in 2025. He’s a three-time Pro Bowler and a former All-Rookie team selection. Braden Smith is another versatile veteran on offer.

    • Tyler Linderbaum – Baltimore Ravens
    • Braden Smith – Indianapolis Colts
    • Isaac Seumalo – Pittsburgh Steelers
    • David Edwards – Buffalo Bills

    Linebackers/Defensive Ends/Edge Rushers

The best-rated player on offer is Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, who is a four-time Pro Bowler and a one-time First Team All-Pro selection. He’s getting on in years, but he probably has at least several seasons more in the tank at 31.

    • Trey Hendrickson – Cincinnati Bengals
    • Jaelan Phillips – Philadelphia Eagles
    • Odafe Oweh – Los Angeles Chargers
    • Alontae Taylor – New Orleans Saints

    Defensive Linemen

There’s really only one defensive lineman worthy of mention on the free agency market – John Franklin-Myers from the Denver Broncos. The veteran has been with Denver since 2024, after stints with the New York Jets and the Los Angeles Rams.
