The Seattle Seahawks may have won the Super Bowl, but not all of them may be sticking around for next season. A lot of players have their contracts ending after the Super Bowl, though the Seahawks do have first dibs on some of them. A lot of the players saying goodbye and entering free agency have been key players and starters, thus losing them might be tough, so the Seahawks better match the offer, as a Super Bowl ring adds value.
There are three kinds of free agents, and they include exclusive rights free agents, restricted free agents and unrestricted free agents. Exclusive rights free agents are usually those with two or fewer accrued seasons and they may get a one-year extension, while restricted free agents are those who have spent exactly three seasons. Unrestricted ones are veterans who may possibly leave after the season ends.
Of course, the team can always extend their contracts should the players agree. However, sometimes, the asking price might be too steep, often resulting in a free agent walking, and this often happens with unrestricted free agents.
Seattle Seahawks Free Agents 2026
Exclusive Rights Free Agents (ERFA)
- RB George Holani
- S Ty Okada
Both Holani and Okada have been crucial members of special teams and it is likely that the team will retain them for another year.
Restricted Free Agents (RFAs)
- LB Drake Thomas
- TE Brady Russell
- LS Chris Stoll
- WR Cody White
- DT Brandon Pili
- WR Cody White
- WR Jake Bobo
- S A.J. Finley
Among the restricted free agents, Brady Russell and Chris Stoll are very likely to receive an extended tender for a new contract between 1-2 years, with it also being possibly extended to Brandon Pili and Jake Bobo.
Unrestricted Free Agents
- S Coby Bryant
- CB Josh Jobe
- CB Tariq Woolen
- WR Rashid Shaheed
- LB Boye Mafe
- RB Ken Walker
- OL Josh Jones
- WR Dareke Young
- LB Chazz Surratt
Starters Coby Bryant and Rashid Shaheed are the headliners for this year’s Seahawks free agency, and it is more than likely that they may be looking for other teams especially after they raised their profile during the Super Bowl. However, the Seahawks can still retain them if they choose, but that new contract will have to be much bigger.
