Travis Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift, is a self-proclaimed “cat lady” to her three beloved felines: Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button. However, Kelce and Swift have seemingly added a new family member.
On Monday, a puppy was photographed stepping down the stairs of Swift’s private jet after landing at the Palm Beach International Airport. Afterward, Kelce was spotted right there on the tarmac in a red cap helping load up the luggage.
The puppy’s breed is a Samoyed. It is a large, incredibly fluffy, white Siberian dog.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got married on July 3 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. Comedian Adam Sandler officiated the wedding, which reportedly cost $20,000,000. Swift’s brother, Austin, served as her man of honor, and Kelce’s brother, Jason, was his best man.
The puppy’s sighting came after Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s baby plans were revealed by a Daily Mail report by Eileen Reslen, the outlet’s U.S. senior showbiz exclusives reporter, on July 6. Swift is reportedly hesitant about having children due to extreme security concerns, including “death threats” and past terror plots.
“She has such a security situation. It is hard to raise a kid in her world,” a source told the Daily Mail.
Nevertheless, when she was in her early 20s, Swift was relatively open to the idea of a large family.
In a 2012 interview with Marie Claire, she said that the idea of parenthood fascinated her, saying she loved the concept of “pouring everything you are into another person” and joked that she wanted a “minimum of four” kids running around.
By 2014, her massive level of fame began to reshape that perspective. She told InStyle that she wasn’t sure if she would have children.
“I don’t know if I will have kids,” she said. “It is impossible to picture what it would be like to try and convince a child that they have a normal life when there are strange men with giant cameras standing outside our house from the time THEY are a baby.”
Swift will turn 37 in 2026.
Travis Kelce’s Wife Taylor Swift’s Third Cat Benjamin Button Earned Global Fame in 2023
When Time named Taylor Swift its 2023 Person of the Year, it released three distinct cover variants. Two were solo shots of Taylor, but the third featured Benjamin Button stealing the show.
The photographers, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, drew their creative inspiration from a 1970s photography book called “Cat People” by Bill Hayward.
To recreate the vintage look, Swift dressed in a black long-sleeve bodysuit and opaque black tights. Benjamin was draped completely horizontally across her shoulders like a fluffy, living scarf.
The youngest of the trio is a Ragdoll cat with a unique adoption story.
Swift met him on the set of her “ME!” music video in 2019. The kitten was being used as a prop in a scene where co-star Brendon Urie hands her a cat. Swift fell so completely in love with him on set that she asked the animal handler if he was available and took him home that very day.
