Luther Burden and the Chicago Bears are playing their Divisional Round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams today. The biggest advantage for the Bears in this game is that they’re in front of their home crowd.
Needless to say, the Bears have an overwhelming number of fans at Soldier Field, supporting their team and giving them some extra energy on what has been a cold day so far.
The rookie wide receiver has a special supporter in the crowd, his wife, Kendall Minglae. Hours before kickoff, Burden’s wife posted a short clip on her Instagram story, showing parts of her outfit that’s fit for the atmosphere today.
Minglae wore an all-black body suit underneath her gameday outfit to keep herself warm.
“Underarmor cold gear for the win,” she captioned her video.

The weather in Chicago today is one of the coldest it’s been in a while. Playing football in that environment has never been easy, but players still manage to push themselves and perform the best they can.
The fans, on the other hand, deal with the cold weather while supporting their team, and they have to come up with creative ideas to make the environment tolerable. Minglae’s choice of cold gear worked well with her outfit.
In the follow-up story on Instagram, she posted a picture of herself with her husband, standing on the sidelines as they posed for the picture. Minglae wore a customized Bears jacket with #10 printed on it to support her husband.
Luther Burden’s Bears Had an Initial Struggle
The Bears were supposed to have a strong advantage over the Rams today. Playing on their home field and under weather conditions with which they are most accustomed was expected to give them an edge over LA.
However, the game started with the Rams flipping the script and taking a 7-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Bears improved in the second quarter and went into halftime with the game tied at 10-10.
This is shaping up to be what they did against the Packers in the Wild Card Round. At halftime, the Bears were trailing 3-21 and then had a 25-point fourth quarter to win the game.
At the time of reporting, there’s a little over five minutes left in the third quarter, and the score is still tied at 10.
