    Free agent quarterback Kyler Murray will join the second team of his NFL career this offseason. The Cardinals released their former first-round pick this offseason, ending a seven-year relationship.

    With Murray being one of the top free agent quarterback options, he is expected to sign with the Minnesota Vikings and a deal could be done as soon as today. Murray is reportedly in Minnesota meeting with the team today and according to NFL reporter Evan Sidery, he could be a Viking by the end of the day.

    Kyler Murray Injury History

    In his seven-year NFL career, Kyler Murray has suffered a total of seven different injuries with four of them causing him to miss time. Let’s take a look at the injuries Murray has suffered in chronological order in his NFL career:

    -On September 5, 2019, Murray suffered an injury to his left hip and left the game but returned the following week.

    -In the season in December, Murray suffered a hamstring injury on a third-down scramble in the third quarter and returned the following game.

    -During the Cardinals’ Week 11 loss to the Seattle Seahawks during the 2020 season, Murray suffered an AC join injury but did not miss any time.

    -The following season in 2021, Murray sustained an ankle sprain in the Cardinals’ Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers. This was the first injury that forced Murray to miss some time, being sidelined for three games.

    -In the 2022 preseason Murray dealt with a sore wrist that kept him limited in activities. He did not miss a game.

    -In Week 14 of the 2022 season, Murray suffered a season-ending torn ACL. He returned the following season in Week 13.

    -In Week 5 of the 2025 season, Murray suffered a foot injury that put him on injured reserve and then was officially ruled out for the season shortly after.
