‘Feels Like a Privilege’: Jilly Anais Pens Emotional Message Celebrating 7 Years With Deshaun Watson

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson and his wife, Jilly Anais, celebrated a personal milestone on Friday.

On Instagram, she shared a post commemorating their seven years together and their first wedding anniversary. Anais shared photos of herself with the veteran quarterback over the years, showcasing their strong romantic bond. She accompanied the post with a heartfelt message for Watson.

“Today we make 1 year married, 7 years together!” Anais wrote. “The greatest love story I’ll ever know is the one we’re still writing.

“And somehow, I love you even more today than I did yesterday. They say forever is a promise. With you, it feels like a privilege.”

According to reports, Deshaun Watson and Jilly Anais met in 2019 when he was playing for the Houston Texans. The couple started dating then and have been together ever since.

On July 3, 2025, Watson and Anais decided to tie the knot after a six-year romance. She took to social media to celebrate her marriage, sharing photos of herself in a wedding gown while posing with the quarterback.

“Mr and Mrs. Watson. Six years ago on July 3, 2019, our love story began. On July 3, 2025 we turn the page to forever!” Anais wrote.

In 2022, Deshaun Watson was traded to the Cleveland Browns. However, his three-season stint with the team has been riddled with injuries. Watson has played in 19 games and recorded 3,365 yards and 19 passing touchdowns. He missed the entirety of the 2025 campaign after undergoing surgery on his re-aggravated Achilles tendon injury.

NFL analyst shares his unfiltered thoughts on how Deshaun Watson can make a case as a strong QB1 contender for the Browns

Last year, the Browns drafted Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel to boost their quarterback room. Both of them got playing time, with Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders’ son taking over as the QB1 for the last seven games.

As the 2026 season approaches, Deshaun Watson is joining the competition for the starting quarterback job. New head coach Todd Monken has not yet finalized who will serve as QB1. On Thursday, analyst Mike Florio got honest about how Watson can make a case for himself.

“How do I win that competition? How do I convince the Browns coaching staff to pick me? How do I best position myself?” Florio said. “It’s beyond the fact that he’s there to work out and get better. That stuff gets noticed. And that becomes a factor when the competition starts.

“Week in and week out, if you’re the starting quarterback, you wanna see the commitment. … You got to view it as a competition that you intend to win.”

The Browns start the 2026 season with a Week 1 showdown on the road against the Jaguars. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET.
