    Keion White Contract Breakdown: Salary, Signing Bonus, and More Explained

    San Francisco 49ers defensive end Keion White was shot Monday, sustaining a bullet wound to his ankle. The shooting occurred on Mission Street at around 4:00 a.m. No arrests have been made yet, but the incident is being investigated by the San Francisco Police Department.

    According to the 49ers, White underwent successful surgery on Monday that isn’t considered to be career-threatening.

    According to multiple reports, White got into an argument with famous American rapper, Lil Baby when the rapper tried to enter a private event hosted by White according to The San Francisco Standard’s Jonah Owen Lamb. A witness told police that when the argument took place, they went upstairs to try to calm the situation down. That’s when two gunshots were heard and White’s ankle was shot.

    Keion White Salary, Signing Bonus, And More

    Keion White was selected in the third-round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Shortly after being drafted, White signed a four-year, $7.79 million rookie contract with the Patriots.

    White got a $2.66 million signing bonus, and was guaranteed $5.3 million of his contract. His contract has an average salary of $1.94 million per year. For the 2026-2027 season, White is set to earn $1.8 million. He is set to become a free agent following the 2026-2027 season.

    The 49ers acquired White from the Patriots right before last year’s trade deadline. They’ll have one more season to evaluate him and decide whether or not to extend him if they don’t prior to the start of the season.

    White recorded 18 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass deflection this season in 14 games played.
