Wide receiver is one of the most valuable positions in the NFL, and the way receivers are paid nowadays proves that.
Today in football, eight NFL wide receivers make $30 million or more per season, based on their yearly salaries. Just two make north of $35 million per year with the highest WR contract being paid just north of $40 million per year. Out of the top 10 highest-paid WRs, two of those players play on the same team.
The next highest-paid wide receiver will likely be Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba. After winning Offensive Player of the Year after leading the league in receiving yards with 1,793, JSN believes he should be the NFL’s next highest-paid WR.
Though he is eligible for an extension this offseason, JSN isn’t in any rush in getting a deal done ASAP.
