Dianna Russini is not making any new friends. The former ESPN reporter was considered one of the best at her job, making significant breakthroughs in her career and breaking glass ceilings for women in the sport, but it seems like everything has come crashing down.
And the major reason for it is her alleged affair with New England Patriots head coach, Mike Vrabel. The duo was spotted at hotels cozying up, all while the world remained clueless as to the nature of their relationship, which appeared to go far beyond just a friendship.
And now, to make matters worse, a potential heroism story about Russini appears to have been rubbished.
In mid April, a car crash near Russini’s New Jersey home started making the rounds, and it got picked up by news outlets all over the world after it became clear that the former NFL insider had helped the stricken driver and his dog out of the car and essentially saved their lives until further help arrived.
The story seemed to humanize Russini at a time when everyone looked at her as a villain, essentially becoming a barrier in Vrabel’s marriage to longtime partner, Jen Vrabel.
But now things seems to have turned again, with a bizarre twist suggesting the real story wasn’t exactly the way it was projected first time around.
Fans Call Russini a Liar for Feeding Savior Story
Fans have now jumped on the bandwagon, suggesting Russini is a liar and that nobody should believe the narrative which is being put out to give her some brownie points during a tough phase in her life.
