Deion Sanders’ eldest son, Shilo Sanders, took his mother, Pilar, on a Mother’s Day dinner. Shilo has a YouTube channel where he uploads vlogs, capturing his day-to-day activities and special outings, such as the one he did with Pilar.
The video is over 34 minutes long, but a snippet from it is going viral on social media. In the clip, Shilo and Pilar can be seen at a dinner table, having a conversation before their meal arrives.
Shilo asked his mother to name her “No. 1 offspring,” and since he had invited her to a Mother’s Day dinner, he earned brownie points for that. After some banter over ranking Shilo’s siblings, the mother-son duo got into a bizarre discussion.
“I am a mother. You made me a mother, you were the first one,” Pilar said.
Shilo had a different way of interpreting that sentence. He said:
“No, I didn’t make you do anything as a mother…Deion Sanders made you a mother. Deion Sanders made you a mother and me a son.”
What Pilar tried to tell her son was that becoming a mother was a profound and transformative shift in her identity and purpose after the birth of Shilo. Before he was born, the idea of being a mother was only theoretical for her. He was the one who made it tangible.
But Shilo didn’t understand what she meant, and he associated it with the idea of two parents becoming mother and father. They went on to have discussions about “the pain of birth” that Pilar experienced with her kids.
Pilar said that going into it, each time it was a 10/10, and she had to take epidurals to ease that process as much as possible.
Deion Sanders and Shilo had a Hilarious Exchange
Shilo has a great relationship with his parents, and we get to see glimpses of it through the videos he posts on the internet. In February 2026, he went to a barber shop to get his hair done. The 26-year-old was worried about losing his hair.
So, Shilo called his father to ask him how old he was when he started balding.
“It was hereditary,” Deion said. “Your hair takes on your father…Like, my daddy had a full head of beautiful, wavy, curly hair.”
When Coach Prime took his hat off to show the current state of his hair, Shilo asked, “Is that the hair from your b*tt crack?”
They had a good laugh over it, and Deion Sanders tried to get him back, but his attempt didn’t work on Shilo.
