Former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell sounded off on the way Micah Parsons handled the interview with the newly drafted Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Makai Lemon. The Eagles drafted him 20th overall in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.
In the post-draft interview, Lemon called the Eagles a “great organization”:
“It’s definitely unexpected, but it’s a great feeling. I’ve been waiting so long for this moment. So to really bring it home and get the call from Philly, especially such a great organization, I couldn’t be happier. I’m excited, man.”
In response, Parsons, whose former team, the Dallas Cowboys, plays in the same division and is considered to be a fierce rival of the Eagles, laughed at Lemon’s “great organization” claim.
“Hey, you had me with everything but the ‘greatest organization,’ bro,” Parsons said. “I was trying to hold it, bro. I was really trying to hold it.”
Seeing this interview, Le’Veon Bell slammed Parsons on X for making the rookie uncomfortable:
“I love Micah Parsons as a football player, GREAT player .. but I hate the way he handled interviewing that young wide out drafted to the eagles .. young man just happy to be drafted, that’s not the time to diss an organization .. bro not even a Cowboy anymore, it’s just lame.”
Micah Parsons Fires Back At Le’Veon Bell Regarding Slamming Remark
After Le’Veon Bell took a shade at Micah Parsons, the Green Bay Packers pass rusher called out the former running back for only seeing a short video instead of watching the whole interview to get proper context.
“You took a 10 second reel and tried to make a moment!! This is lame shi# respectfully!!” Parsons wrote.
Parsons was right in a way. During the interview with Makai Lemon, just after he laughed off the “great organization” claim, the Packers star added about the exciting locker room the rookie is going to join. This is what Parsons added in the interview:
“Uh, seriously, you’re walking into a great group of guys. I would say between Saquon, DeVonta, Lane, those guys have been around for so long, and you can really absorb a lot from them. And you’ve got my man Wix over there. So, man, I wish those guys nothing but love from me.
“Just absorb everything, bro. You’re around a great offensive group early in your career, and a lot of guys don’t get that opportunity. You can walk in and learn so much and learn the game at such a high level. Just take advantage of it and really just do you, man. Do what you’ve been doing your whole career. Prove people wrong.”
This shows that Parsons may not respect the Eagles, but he admires the players there who have long been part of the league and are absolute star.
