Breece Hall’s Massive $45.75m Contract Extension Draws Emotional Message From Jets RB

New York Jets quarterback Breece Hall is in an emotional high right now, as he just signed a massive $45.75 million extension with the team, ensuring that he will be staying in New York for a while. The extension is for three years, and it means that the Jets running game could continue to get better as the team has expressed their confidence in Hall with this new contract extension.

A very happy and very thankful Breece Hall soon took to social media as he expressed how happy and thankful he is for this new deal.

“Cried for the first time since I tore my ACL. This day really hit different for me man🙏🏾🤞🏾,” he posted on X.

This means in those three years, Hall would earn $15.25 million per year, which makes him the third-highest-paid running back in the NFL, behind only the Philadelphia Eagles’ Saquon Barkley and the San Francisco 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey.

This new deal came after he carried for 1,065 rushing yards on 243 carries and scoring four touchdowns, and he did it with one of the most mediocre run blocking in the league.  This showed how well he has played despite his team lacking on the run blocking department.

CBS Sports ranked Hall as the No. 10 best running back from last season, and their contract extension with him shows that they want to lock him in with the team for the foreseeable future and possibly turn him into a star.

New York Jets Offensive Overhaul Could Be Very Good for Breece Hall

While the New York Jets have retained Breece Hall, the team may be revamping their offense, especially with new offensive coordinator Frank Reich. Geno Smith is probably returning as quarterback, but the big news is wide receiver Garrett Wilson is also returning after not playing much due to injury.

They will be joined by former Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq, who the team is reportedly high on, along with 30th overall pick Omar Cooper Jr., who just won a national championship with Indiana as a wide receiver. This means that the Jets offense will look a bit different next season with that insertion of young talent.

As for what seems to still be lacking, it should be the offensive line, as the Jets run blocking still needs a lot of work. However, they do have some fine OTs in Olumuyiwa Fashanu and Armand Membou.
