Las Vegas Raiders’ stellar defensive end Maxx Crosby’s trade rumors ahead of the 2026 NFL season have been the talk of the town this past week. After being linked to a plethora of franchises recently, the trade rumors have only intensified further.
While a direct confirmation or an update from the Raiders’ star is still impending, Crosby recently put out a cryptic message on X, which many think is a direct reference to the entire debacle surrounding his future in Vegas and potential future destinations.
In his cryptic message posted a couple of hours ago, Crosby did not address the situation head-on; his choice of words and emojis has possibly hinted at his next team.
“Fear Less. Do More.🦅💎”, crosby wrote on X
The eagle and diamond emoji along with the cryptic message has led many to insinuate that the Philadelphia Eagles could potentially be Maxx’s next NFL team. Reports also suggest that the likes of the Cowboys, Patriots, Ravens, Bills, and Rams are also in the hunt to get Maxx Crosby on board.
Analyst Peter Schrager Bats For Raiders To Hold Onto Crosby Amidst Trade Rumors
Amidst all the trade rumors surrounding the Raiders’ defensive end Maxx Crosby, ESPN NFL analyst Peter Schrager did not mince his words regarding the 28-year-old’s potential departure from Vegas.
Schrager on the Get Up Show started off by singing praises for Crosby’s work ethic, pointing out how he is the first guy to show up and the last to leave, combined with his dressing room vibes and personality that “lifts everyone up.”
“That’s why I don’t trade Maxx Crosby. That is a cornerstone piece. You have one of the best defensive players in football on your roster”, Schrager stated (0:17).
“I know we can get a bunch of assets for him; that’s no question. But are you going to find a Maxx Crosby at 29 years old who can do that? I’d be curious to see if this thing progresses, because i think maxx crosby is an irreplacable player”, he further elaborated (0:22).
Crosby’s 2025 campaign with the Raiders saw him play 15 games, garnering a total of 45 solo tackles, 28 assists, 10 sacks, and 1 interception. If Maxx’s trade does go through, the Raiders will be tasked to fill a big defensive hole come next season.
