Baltimore Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy Answers Question About Returning for Another Year

Kyle Van Noy is getting up in years, with the veteran linebacker having played for 12 seasons in the NFL, far longer than the average professional football player. However, the two-time Super Bowl champion doesn’t want to retire just yet.

He admitted as much in a recent tweet in which he explained that whether or not he returns for a fourth season with the Baltimore Ravens is not up to him but to the franchise, which has yet to offer a contract extension to him.

In a reply to a fan asking whether or not he would return with Baltimore in 2026, Van Noy had this to say about his situation:

“What up? I get this question a lot. Are you coming back? Are you gunna leave?? Well…. How it works since ima “free agent”The ravens/ EDC technically could offer me a contract at any point. They technically call me today or call my agent to say let’s get a deal done. Most teams usually wait until free agency especially after the season end. Free agency starts the beginning of March. It’s not really up to me unless I get offered a contract then it’s up to me if I YAY or Kick rocks no thanks. That’s how it works. So we shall see if they hit me up. I’ll let you know if they do.”

Kyle Van Noy is with his fifth team in a career that has seen him become a true journeyman. His career started with the Detroit Lions (2014-2016), he was then with the New England Patriots (2016-2019), the Miami Dolphins (2020), again with the Patriots (2021), the Los Angeles Chargers (2022), and since 2023 with the Baltimore Ravens.
