In one of the most bizarre crime news stories today, Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been implicated in an armed robbery and kidnapping incident in Tampa that happened last February. Six suspects allegedly involved in the incident have been arrested, and new information regarding the case suggests that Arnold may have been the mastermind of that plot.
Because of this, Arnold now faces four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, which could lead to the possibility of life in prison and ruin his football career. He has now been arrested, and the incident has many people talking, including Black Sports Online’s Robert Littal, who likened the incident to OJ Simpson’s arrest in 2007.
“This is a bit like what OJ actually ended up in jail for. Watching it on the live stream is definitely some 2026ish,” he said.
What Littal was talking about was not regarding Simpson’s infamous murder case, but the one where he was arrested for his involvement in a heist involving some of his memorabilia. Terrion Arnold may be going the same route, according to the analyst, as some of his co-defendants have been making plea deals with authorities.
Terrion Arnold Case Was An Alleged Retaliation To A Previous Case of Theft
As for why Terrion Arnold allegedly masterminded the kidnapping and robbery plot, he was reportedly retaliating against one of the alleged victims who had allegedly stolen from him. The incident happened last February, and the Lions cornerback reportedly lost over $250,000 in cash, jewelry, designer items and other property in an Airbnb he was staying in.
He reported the theft to local police, and one of the suspects in that incident was reportedly Arnold’s own personal driver. In his alleged retaliation, Arnold reportedly had two of his co-defendants, Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo, lure that driver and other suspects to an apartment in Tampa where two more defendants, Lyndell Hudson II and Christion Williams, were allegedly waiting for them.
Reports said they held the suspected thieves at gunpoint and interrogated them regarding Arnold’s missing property. In a massive blow to Arnold’s case, Del Valle reportedly streamed the whole thing, which will now be used as evidence against them. The case itself is ongoing, so some details have not yet been released.
