Robert Griffin III has sent out an urgent plea to the world of sports after Terrion Arnold was arrested in connection with an armed robbery and kidnapping case in Florida earlier this year.
The NFL veteran took to social media platform, X, to deliver a clear warning to anyone who is earning good money and is considering even remotely to do something similar to the charges leveled against Terrion Arnold.
In the light of the Arnold arrest, a strongly worded statement was put out by the Hillsborough State Attorney, Suzy Lopez.
“No one has the right to take the law into their own hands. A dispute over missing property does not justify kidnapping, violence, or retaliation. This arrest is the result of months of investigative work and collaboration between the Tampa Police Department and our prosecutors,” she said.
Terrion Arnold’s Representatives Denied the Allegations
The severity of the allegations against Terrion Arnold have the possibility of the Detroit Lions star spending a lifetime behind bars, and his representatives clearly believe the charges brought against him are unfair.
“Terrion Arnold categorically denies any involvement in the matters underlying the allegations made against him and maintains his innocence. There is no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations,” Denise White from EAG Sports Management, Terrion Arnold’s representatives, said.
“Instead, the government appears to be relying on testimony from multiple convicted felons who have admitted their own involvement and may have substantial incentives to shift blame in an effort to lessen their sentences. Mr. Arnold looks forward to his day in court and is confident that the judicial process will lead to his ultimate vindication.”
