As Arch Manning is well aware, the 2027 NFL draft is less than a year away. Despite the event being almost as far away as it could mathematically be, prospects nearing the end of their college careers don’t have much time to put together a winning resume. However, as Fernando Mendoza proved in the 2025 season, any prospect can jump to the top of the leaderboard in just one run.
Here’s a look at some of the biggest names that are expected to be available to NFL teams in about 12 months.
Top 10 2027 NFL Draft Prospects to Keep Both Eyes On
#10 – Ellis Robinson, CB, Georgia
Ellis Robinson can shut down anyone and has demonstrated as much. Don’t expect another Jermod McCoy situation.
#9 – Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
Every year, there’s seemingly one offensive lineman who goes early. Trevor Goosby is the choice this year with plenty of solid tape already available.
#8 – Dylan Stewart, Edge, South Carolina
Dylan Stewart is primed for a breakout season after two seasons with double-digit tackles for loss. If he can get the quarterback on the ground a bit more often, he could be selected quickly.
#7 – Colin Simmons, Edge, Texas
Colin Simmons led the SEC in sacks and also stacked up 15.5 tackles for loss. He has a shot to be this year’s David Bailey.
#6 – Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
Cam Coleman has had a work-in-progress career, but paired up with No. 1 on this list, he will have a huge opportunity to put himself on the map.
#5 – Jeremiyah Smith, WR, Ohio State
While the 2026 NFL draft was all about a running back named Jeremiyah in the first round, the 2027 NFL draft could be all about wide receiver Jeremiyah Smith. Smith finished sixth in Heisman voting in 2025 and has already won a national championship.
#4 – LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
LaNorris Sellers has been on the NFL draft radar for the last year, but Sellers is in the driver’s seat to go early in the first round. He’s shown the ability to throw and rush at times. If he can have one breakout season in which he puts it together, he would be a top-10 pick.
#3 – Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss
Trinidad Chambliss fought hard to return to college and will now look to repeat what he accomplished with a new coach. If he can pull it off, Chambliss could go as high as No. 1, but the deck is stacked against him.
#2 – Drew Mestemaker, QB, Oklahoma State
New team, same quarterback. Drew Mestemaker led the FBS in passing yards in 2025 with North Texas (Sports Reference). Now, he is looking to prove it with Oklahoma State. If he can, he could be drafted in minutes.
#1 – Arch Manning, QB, Texas
Anytime a member of the Manning family hits the draft board is a big moment. As long as he doesn’t implode in 2026 and shows a steady stream of sparks like he did in 2025, Arch Manning will turn plenty of heads.
