College GameDay’s Schedule on Feb. 21

The ESPN program will appear on Saturday, Feb. 21, between 10 am and 12 pm EST. The program will cover the Washington D.C. matchup between the currently 23-1 Michigan Wolverines and the currently 22-2 Duke Blue Devils.

The matchup will take place at a neutral site, according to a College GameDay X post on Saturday.

Investigating Best Matchups Ahead of College GameDay’s Spotlighted Showdown

The matchup between the Michigan Wolverines and the Duke Blue Devils will pit shooters against defense in a battle to see who can score the most points.

The Blue Devils will rely heavily on forward Cameron Boozer, who has averaged 23 points per game and ten rebounds this season with a whopping 57.8% field goal accuracy percentage. While Boozer is the team’s top star, guard Isiah Evans can contribute as well after averaging 14.3 points per game thus far this season.

While Michigan can’t score as fast or as high reliably, the team can get stops when needed. The team’s top scorer is forward Yaxel Lendeborg, who averages 14.3 points per game alongside forward Morez Johnson Jr., who averages 13.5 points per game. Both Lendeborg and Johnson can rack up rebounds to the tune of 7.7 and 7.3 rebounds per contest.

Overall, Michigan is better at getting rebounds on average, but is not as good at shooting. The matchup will pit two different styles of play between two quality teams.

With the game taking place in Washington, D.C., Duke won’t have to travel as far as Michigan, and also won’t have to operate across time zones. While the game takes place at a closer neutral site, Duke fans are more likely to travel the distance than Michigan fans.
