Nalaikh Bison forward Kyree Walker has just indicated what the next move is for his basketball career, and several onlookers are not too keen on it as involves a controversial move. On Sunday, May 3, @Ballislife on X/Twitter reposted its prior post that shows Walker’s high school mixtape against current Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards eight years ago back in 2018.
In the repost, the X/Twitter page included a screenshot of Walker’s most recent post on his Instagram story. In the screenshot, it is seen that Walker reposted an upload by @tiptonedits on Instagram that announces Walker will be doing an official visit to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs campus on Monday, May 4, as the Atlanta, Georgia native works out the next move for his career.
College basketball fans and spectators then slander Walker for the move as the 25-year-old joins a short but growing list of professional players coming back to college.
“This sh*t is crazy,” one fan captioned.
“@kyreewalker1 stop embarrassing yourself. You still got gas in the tank but you’re so insecure about your situation, what people say, and in love with clicks that you trying to keep the cap alive as long as possible. Go overseas. Go to china. Go to Japan. Get off the internet,” another fan explained.
“‘Bama A&M is INSANE. GO OVERSEAS DUDE,” another user exclaimed.
“Yeah no reason to go back to college,” a user posted.
Other users all over X/Twitter decided to point out how old Walker is and put it on a much wider landscape.
“This guy’s mixtape came out like a decade ago and now he wants to play college basketball, man just nuke the NCAA at this point,” one fan wrote.
“Is he going to become part of the coaching staff???,” another user said.
“He’s older than LaMelo (Ball) and Ant (Anthony Edwards). He’s going to cause hell,” a user shared.
As it currently stands, Walker’s most recent stint at any form of competitive basketball is playing for the Nalaikh Bison in the The League back in the 2024-25 season. Originally, Walker was committed to play for the Arizona State Sun Devils for college basketball back in 2017, but chose to forego his eligibility just a year later in 2018. Instead, Walker went on to have a professional basketball career in different countries.
The 2025-26 Alabama A&M Bulldogs Had No Postseason Tournaments Despite Ending With A Winning Record
If Kyree Walker does decide to return to college basketball after decommitting from it about eight years ago and join the Alabama A&M Bulldogs, then he will be joining a Bulldogs team that just finished the 2025-26 season with an overall record of 18-15 (10-8 SWAC), and were the fourth seed in the 2025 SWAC standings. Despite their efforts, the Alabama-based program was not invited into any postseason tournaments.
