While Deion Sanders and Shelomi Sanders may have had their differences in the past regarding where she played, it seems the latest decision from her has made everyone happy.
After two seasons with Alabama A&M, Shelomi has committed to Colorado State University Pueblo, an NCAA Division II school in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. This marks her fourth program, including previous stints with Jackson State Tigers women’s basketball and Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball.
After her commitment was made official, Shelomi took to Instagram and shared several images on Instagram. She posed alongside her mother, Pilar Sanders and Deion Sanders at the basketball court. There was also a picture where her divorced parents were in the same frame alongside CSU Pueblo assistant coach Taylor Prinzing and head coach Tommie Johnson.
“right place, right time 🤞🏽 @steelcitywbb leggoooooo😝” Shelomi captioned.

Deion Sanders Once Didn’t Like Daughter Shelomi Sanders Leaving Colorado For Alabama A&M
When Deion Sanders left Jackson State to take the head coach position of Colorado’s football program, Shelomi Sanders followed him and joined the Buffaloes women’s basketball program. But her time in Boulder was limited in terms of playing opportunities.
Because of this, Shelomi chose to transfer to Alabama A&M, thereby returning to an HBCU program. The Buffaloes’ head coach was reportedly not happy with this move, even calling the idea “stupid” before eventually coming around to support her decision.
“It just wasn’t good energy… good vibes,” she said. “If I didn’t leave when I did, I promise you I would’ve quit.”
Over two seasons, Shelomi didn’t get a lot of playing time with Alabama A&M. In her first season there, she played 26 games, scoring 31 total points.
Last season, she played 15 games and logged 92 minutes for 14 total points. She shot 6-for-27 from the field, including 4-for-20 from three-point range. Her best game last season was against Miles on Dec. 7, when she scored eight points in 17 minutes, including two 3-pointers. She also had two assists against Richmond in another game.
