John Calipari is preparing his Arkansas team for the new season but seems to be facing a problem that hasn’t sat well with fans. According to Calipari, nobody seems to want to play the Razorbacks at the Bud Walton Arena and he had 300 calls that didn’t result in anything substantial.
Arkansas’ updated schedule has raised a few eyebrows, and coach Calipari felt the need to justify why there wasn’t another home game on the calendar.
“We did everything we could… No one would play us. I mean, listen: we called 300 people… We were calling presidents, ‘Will you play us here?'” Calipari said to the media.
But fans have a different view about the situation and don’t necessarily buy Calipari’s words.

Arkansas will have arguably the best group of new freshmen this season, with Abdou Toure, Miikka Muurinen and Caleb Ourigou, just to name a few, but Calipari isn’t getting carried away.
“We’ll see,” Calipari said on Monday in his press conference. “They’re going to have to perform to be that (best in the nation). Having the respect they do as players, that was what would happen. They gotta perform. I like my team, so I’ll see. We got to play games.”
Arkansas is heading to the Bahamas for its foreign tour with the first game of the Baha Mar summer league set to kick off on July 31.
