Notre Dame vs Duke Men’s Basketball Injury Report: Latest on Ifeanyi Ufochukwu and Markus Burton

The Duke Blue Devils have been on a roll and may be entering the NCAA National Championship Tournament, or March Madness, as one of the four No. 1 seeds. However, the season is not yet over and they are hitting the road this time, heading to Southbend, Indiana to visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Tuesday.

Both teams will have at least one player missing on their roster due to injury, but one team will be much healthier coming into this game than the other. Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs Duke Blue Devils Men’s Basketball Injury Report

    Duke Blue Devils

    • Ifeanyi Ufochukwu: Out for the season (knee)

Duke will be without their star center Ifeanyi Ufochukwu again, and he will be out for the rest of the season. However, power forward Cameron Boozer has been very good over the past few weeks and has been a double-double machine, carrying the frontcourt even without the injured big man. Ufochukwu transferred from Rice and suffered a non-contact knee injury during practice.

    Notre Dame Fighting Irish

    • Markus Burton: Out (ankle)
    • Jalen Haralson: Out (ankle)
    • Kebba Njie: Out for the season (knee)
    • Tommy Ahneman: Out for the season (knee)

Junior guard Markus Burton is considered the best player for the Fighting Irish, and they are taking on the No. 2 team in the country without him as they push for a spot during March Madness. Five-star freshman Jalen Haralson is also listed as out and he also has some ankle issues, along with much-hyped freshman big man Tommy Ahneman. This means that whoever is guarding Cameron Boozer might not have as much help.
