Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara were in attendance at Seattle’s FIFA World Cup festivities on Friday. The couple, joined by several high-profile guests, including Trinity Rodman, Marshawn Lynch, Paris Hilton, and Alex Morgan, watched the United States defeat Australia 2-0 at Lumen Field.
Seattle is Wilson’s old stomping grounds, and he is always celebrated well by fans at Lumen Field. It was the first time he returned to Lumen Field since announcing his retirement. He won a Super Bowl for the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Ciara was in an orange soccer jersey while Wilson was draped in a dark jacket over a white shirt.
Fans had all kinds of reactions to the couple’s appearance, with some celebrating their presence while others taunting them.
“I love this! We happy he is back in our stadium,” one fan wrote.
“Ciara showing up is pure clout chasing. u all defending her just proves why people call me bitter,” another fan added.
“Ciara and Russell were my Shannon and Josh back then. Couple goals!” one fan commented.
“Ciara genuinely the most beautiful woman I ever seen,” one fan said.
“Seattle hates Ciara. Why she out there waving like Princess Diana 💀” one fan added.
“he’s retired and she was never beautiful,” one fan commented.
Ciara’s soccer interests are well-known as she is also the co-founder of the Seattle Sounders FC. For this edition of FIFA, Seattle is hosting six FIFA World Cup matches during the 2026 tournament.
Russell Wilson Had Plans in Place Before Meeting Ciara
Russell Wilson recently shared an unknown detail regarding his relationship with Ciara. Appearing on Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, the retired quarterback shared what his original plans were before he met Ciara in 2015.
“I had a whole plan,” Wilson told Palmer. “I’m going to the Super Bowl. I’m going to be single for about 10 years. I wrote down, prayed over—we prayed over that night. Three days later, I met Ciara for the first time.”
Wilson added that his relationship with Ciara is centered around faith, independence, and character.
Wilson and Ciara met in March 2015 at a basketball game at the University of Wisconsin. By then, he was already a Super Bowl champion. Interestingly, Wilson made an effort during their first date, rearranging his schedule so that he could spend more time with Ciara.
After dating for a year, Wilson proposed to Ciara in the Seychelles in March 2016. Four months later, they tied the knot on July 6, 2016, in a private ceremony at Peckforton Castle in England.
The couple now shares three children: daughter Sienna Princess (2017), son Win Harrison (2020) and daughter Amora Princess (2023). The retired quarterback has also embraced Ciara’s son, Future Zahir, from her previous relationship.
