LSU HC Lane Kiffin Drops Cryptic Reaction to Potentially ‘Falling in Love’ With Situationship
Lane Kiffin recently wrapped up LSU’s spring training camp, with the Tigers’ spring game having taken place just a few days ago on Friday. Kiffin will now likely prepare to take what’s likely the last few rest days of his year, before college football starts to pick up again in the summer, beginning with the conference media days.
Kiffin has long been known for his quirky use of social media, and it looks from his latest Instagram story that he’s ready to take advantage of what’s left of the spring to invest in his relationship. In early 2025, the then Ole Miss coach reconciled with his ex-wife, Layla Kiffin, who is the mother of his children, too.
Judging from an Instagram story from Monday, the relationship seems to be going swimmingly. The LSU coach reposted a meme, which had the following caption:
“POV: You’re falling in love with your relationship…”

The short reel also shows a gleeful kid being both joyful and terrified while on a rollercoaster ride. A very honest description of what it feels like to fall in love. Layla and Lane Kiffin originally got divorced in 2016, and had been married since 2004.

Can Lane Kiffin’s Incoming QB, Sam Leavitt, Stay Healthy in 2026?
Lane Kiffin pulled one of the biggest coups of the transfer portal of the current offseason, when he secured the commitment of Arizona State’s Sam Leavitt, the top quarterback in the portal. While the raw ability of Leavitt is not in doubt, some analysts worry about his ability to remain healthy this upcoming season.
Cole Cubelic is definitely among those who worry about the signal-caller’s endurance.
“Sam Leavitt is super talented,” Cubelic said on The Solid Verbal College Football Show. “What I’d be worried about is your quarterback getting healthy right now? And the injury that he has had worked on more than once at times has been recurring. That would be one of my bigger question marks this year. Not, is Sam Leavitt healthy now, it’s, can he stay healthy?
“Because that’s an injury that we’ve seen pop up for other guys. So, it can work and it should absolutely work, because the money that you’re putting up and the reputation of the guy that you’re bringing in, there’s proof that those things, when put together, have been able to find success.”
Leavitt missed the majority of the 2026 season with a Lisfranc (midfoot) injury, which required surgery in October. His recovery hasn’t been straightforward, as he required a second procedure in April this year, which led him to miss most of the spring training camp. It would seem Cubelic and Lane Kiffin would have reasons to worry.
