The Alabama Crimson Tide, after bowing out of the 2025 CFB quarterfinal game against the Indiana Hoosiers, have been super proactive in the recruiting window, as Kalen DeBoer and his side would like to better their last season’s record come next season.
Having already signed the likes of 2026 five-star recruits in the form of S Jireh Edwards and RB Ezavier Crowell, the Alabama-based program is all-in investing in the future, as a total of three class of 2027 prospects have already committed to play for the Crimson Tide.
However, DeBoer is currently facing immense competition from his counterparts as the race to sign a highly touted class of 2027 prospect intensifies.
Standing at 6’3″ and 180 pounds, four-star safety Tavares Harrington has been the talk of the CFB recruiting circuit, with a total of five high-profile programs vying to lock him down. As per reports from On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett, the no. 1 ranked DB in the state of Illinois has offers from five different schools, namely Notre Dame, Alabama, Michigan, Ole Miss, and Auburn.
While the four-star safety currently remains undeclared, it won’t come as a surprise if Harrington commits to one of the aforementioned programs anytime now.
Five-Star QB Elijah Haven Headlines Alabama’s 2027 Commits
While Tavares Harrington’s recruiting future with the Crimson Tide currently remains in the balance, Kalen DeBoer has already heavily begun investing in the future with three high-profile 2027 commits set to join the Alabama-based program.
Five-star QB Elijah Haven spearheads Alabama’s 2027 recruiting class, with the 6’5″ Baton Rouge native already occupying the sixth spot in ESPN SC Next’s top 300 2027 recruits. With an overall grade rating of 92, Haven is set to join the company of four-star QB recruit Trent Seaborn from Alabaster and four-star TE Colt Lumpris from New Jersey.
While it remains to be seen if Alabama’s trust in youngsters pays off in the near future, it’s safe to say that Kalen DeBoer’s program has one of the most extensive scouting networks amongst all CFB teams.
