“Incredible Attention to Detail”: Fans Troll EA Sports College Football 27 Over BYU Player Model Mix-Up

EA Sports College Football 27 has finally arrived in early access, giving fans their first opportunity to try out the game. While the game has earned praise for its new updates, one unexpected detail stood out on social media.

Fans noticed that BYU cornerback Cannon DeVries’ in-game player model looked nothing like the real version.

A comparison shared by CFB Kings featured DeVries’ official BYU headshot alongside his College Football 27 character model that went viral online.

One fan wrote: “They nailed the height, weight, hometown, and jersey number and then just invented an entirely new human. Incredible attention to detail.”

Another joked about one noticeable facial feature, saying: “Damn how did they not know he shaved his mustache 🤦🏼‍♂️.”

Others kept the jokes rolling: “They got the chin right 😂😂.”

One user humorously suggested it might not even be EA’s fault:

“This looks like a television settings issue to me.”

“Idk they look identical to me !! 🤷🏽‍♂️,” another wrote sarcastically.

“He can always grow his mustache out again. I don’t see any issues here,” one wrote.
