Julian Sayin Reveals Ohio State’s Strategy Leading to Monumental Michigan Win

Ohio State were widely considered as favorites for the national championship trophy at the start of the 2025-26 season, and while they were unable to win the big one this time around, their season did give us some very memorable moments.

One such moment came in the early parts of the campaign, as the Buckeyes took on bitter rivals Michigan in a fierce rivalry at Ann Arbor where only one team could come out with the spoils.

On the day, the Buckeyes were far too good for Michigan, and it proved how much better the team had got under Ryan Day, with one man in particular leading the charge for the college football giants.

That man was none other than Julian Sayin, and the talented quarterback has now come out to talk about the special moment where he essentially ran the show, leading to a comfortable victory for his team in enemy territory.

Speaking on the Triple Option podcast, Sayin spoke with legendary coach Urban Meyer about the moment and how driven the Ohio State Buckeyes were to get the job done against their bitter rivals.

“I think the team had a great mindset going into it. We weren’t really feeling a ton of pressure,” Sayin remarked.

“We know how much it means to the state of Ohio and to our fan base, but walking into that stadium it was a ton of fun and we had a bunch of juice, and off the bat, threw the interception and after that I felt we were in control,” he continued.

Sayin Stole the Show at Ann Arbor

That game in many ways, was the coming out party for Julian Sayin, who showed his class and quality to Ohio State fans, running the show and making fans believe there was something big coming that season.

Some fans even suggested it was a Heisman worthy performance, which may not have been the case as we found out later, but it leaves him in a good place to do even better as the Buckeyes get ready for another campaign in a few months from now.
