4-Star QB Neimann Lawrence Sets Committment Date As Michigan, Miami, Texas and More Fight for Commitment

School’s out for the summer in parts of the country, but star quarterback prospect Neimann Lawrence is hard at work thinking of where he wants to continue his football career. He hasn’t made a final decision, but has set himself a deadline to announce this month.

According to a Wednesday report from On3’s Hayes Fawcett on X, Lawrence will choose between his five finalists on June 25th.

“NEWS: Four-Star QB Neimann Lawrence will announce his commitment June 25th, he tells me for Rivals. The No. 6 QB in the 2028 Class will choose between Notre Dame, Miami, Texas, Michigan, and Texas A&M,” he reported.

While his final decision is unknown, it appears that the quarterback has ruled out any chance of heading to the western part of the country, with every program located east of Arizona.

However, one state seemingly has the highest mathematical chance at face value in the form of Texas, with two programs located within its territory. Of course, plenty of factors will inform Neimann’s choice.

What is the most likely landing spot for Neimann Lawrence?

At this time, the final choice rests with Neimann Lawrence, but some landing spots might make more sense than others. For instance, the Miami Hurricanes are coming off a season in which the team went to the National Championship, which will give the franchise a sun-like spotlight in 2026.

If Lawrence wants the biggest spotlight to improve his chances of getting into the NFL, Miami makes the most sense.

However, if Lawrence is concerned with finding a program that will give him the easiest, shortest road to the starting role, Notre Dame makes the most sense with only three quarterbacks on the team, according to 247 Sports.

Of course, if proximity to his current living situation trumps all, Lawrence would have no choice but to go with Miami, which is the only team located within driving distance of American Heritage, his current school.
