    “LIV Golf Is Dead” – Fans React to Pat Perez Fueling PGA Tour Return Rumors by Making Social Media Move

    Pat Perez is reportedly banned from competing in PGA Tour events for a year following his past involvement with LIV Golf. However, Perez has now sent the golf fans into a frenzy with his actions on social media, hinting at his return to the Tour.

    Perez has played in events of the breakaway tour till September 2024, after which he became a commentator for the Saudi PIF-backed golf league. Recent reports indicated that the golfer, who turns 50 in March, which is the eligible age for playing in PGA Tour Champions, has been banned from competing in Tour events before August 2026.

    However, amid growing speculations, Pat Perez recently made a major change to his Instagram profile, where he edited the beginning of his bio and wrote:

    “Reinstated to @pgatour”.

    It is worth noting that even if Pat Perez fueled rumors on his PGA Tour return, the golfer has openly criticized the Tour in the past. However, in a previous instance, he has also dropped hints about his future visions regarding his career as a golfer.

    Before LIV Golf’s Michigan event, Perez revealed his take on the PGA Tour in an episode of the Michigan Golf Live Podcast. The golfer-turned-commentator claimed that he could not comprehend why the Tour wanted to suspend him for his television role.

    During the episode, the three-time PGA Tour winner dropped a hint about his wish to compete on the PGA Tour Champions. Pat Perez stated (10:08 onward):

    “They actually tried to suspend me for doing TV, which doesn’t make any sense because I’m not on the Champions Tour yet…”

    “I’ve spent 21 years on the PGA Tour. I meet a lot of credentials that automatically get me on the Champions Tour.”

    Pat Perez has hinted towards his wish to compete in the senior circuit in the past as well. In an episode of GOLF’S SubPar, the American pro cited the prize money involved in the senior circuit and lauded the Tour for designing a retirement package like that. He also revealed his wish to join the Tour in a few years and shared a lighthearted wish to run Bernhard Langer, a 47-time-PGA Tour Champions winner, over with a cart.
