After a successful Masters outing at Augusta, the PGA Tour will now head to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for the RBC Heritage 2026. The latest edition of the event will commence on Thursday, April 16 at the Harbour Town Golf Links located within the Sea Pines Resort. The Signature event will see a stacked 82-player field compete for the $20 million prize purse.
The RBC Heritage field features 22 of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) top 50 players. Competition’s defending champion Justin Thomas, World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and No.3 Cameron Young and No.4 Tommy Fleetwood are among the biggest names teeing up this weekend. Despite the stacked field, top-rated Scheffler tops the American circuit’s power rankings.
The 29-year-old golfer enters the South Carolina event field on the back of a runner-up finish at the Masters. Having won here in 2024, the ace golfer will be eyeing a comeback performance this weekend. It is pertinent to note that the four-time major champion finished T8 in the contest last year. Unsurprisingly, he is closely trailed by Masters T3 finisher Young.
The second-best rated player on the RBC Heritage field, owing to Rory McIlroy’s rest, co-led the Masters field ahead of the final round. Having won The Players Championship and managed no worse than a T7 in four starts, the 28-year-old is one of the top picks for the weekend. It is noteworthy that the two-time PGAT winner debuted at Harbour Town with a T3 in 2022.
Fresh off a T9 at the Masters, Xander Schauffele takes the third place on the power rankings list for the competition. Having managed his fourth top 10 in five starts, the 10-time PGA winner is an in-form pick. Matt Fitzpatrick and Patrick Cantlay complete the top-five while the event’s reigning champion Thomas takes 12th position on the table. He enters the title defense on the back of a forgettable T41 finish at Augusta.
