Deion Sanders’ Colorado has a lot to make up for in the upcoming college football season, as the Buffaloes are coming off of a disappointing 2025 season, which ended with an overall record of 3-9.
While Colorado has lost some big names in this offseason already, like LSU transfer Kaidon Salter, Coach Prime is now working towards building a talented roster.
Coach Prime’s most recent recruiting success is 2027 4-star safety Gabe Jenkins, who is the fifth commitment for that class so far.
Talking about his decision to commit to Colorado, Jenkins shared that Colorado showed him a lot of love while adding that he thought the culture in Boulder was nice as well.
“They were showing me a lot of love. The culture is nice up there. It was different. I saw what Colorado was like, I knew I liked it, and it was a school I knew I was interested in.”
“I was with Coach Vonn [Bell], Coach Rich, Coach Box, Deion Sanders — it is a great staff,” he said. “Coach Prime is a good coach and kept it real with me. He was great to talk to, and he is a great coach, but the assistant coaches were so big in my decision.”
Analyst Calls Out Deion Sanders for Wanting to Meet Todd Monken
Deion Sanders recently made the headlines for expressing interest in meeting the Browns head coach, Todd Monken.
Coach Prime shared that he wants to meet Monken and help him understand Shedeur a little bit more, a statement that wasn’t very well received by many analysts and fans.
Jay Crawford spoke about the situation and said this is one of the reasons why he warned teams of drafting Shedeur, hinting at the “circus” that comes with him.
Shedeur was projected to go as a top 10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft; however, he ended up sliding to the 5th round and was eventually picked as the 144th overall pick.
