Cody Campbell finally had something to be pleased about as his son prepares for a career in football, possibly following in the footsteps of his father, who currently plays a significant role at Texas Tech.
The billionaire booster had a bunch of emojis ready as his son Carson’s impressive showing at Miami camp became public, all while he gets himself ready to tackle the potential challenges of college football.
Campbell responded with three fire emojis as his son impressed at Miami camp, with suggestions now that he might be playing one of the power 4 conferences once he becomes eligible.
Listed at 6 feet 3 inches tall and 290 pounds, the younger Campbell is a class of 2029 player who plays as an interior offensive lineman. He reportedly already has offers from Oklahoma, Arizona State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, LSU, Oklahoma State and Missouri.
He recently attended camp at the Oklahoma Sooners, where he displayed impressive strength and lived up to his hype and it seems like the same is continuing in Miami too.
Cody Campbell’s Stance on Brendan Sorsby
While Cody Campbell will be enjoying the news around his son’s eventual entry into the world of college football, the story around Brendan Sorsby is less satisfying.
After parting ways with the quarterback amid a worsening gambling crisis, Campbell spoke out about how Texas Tech had no choice but to take the tough decision.
“So, we were left in a position where, for the best interest of more people and an institution that’s very important to all of us, we had to do what we had to do,” Campbell concluded.
