Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver KC Concepcion slammed those who tried making fun of his stuttering problem, which he has been carrying since childhood. At the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, Concepcion became the subject of jokes because of his speech impediment.
On Sunday, Concepcion decided to address the negativity surrounding his problem, asking them to stop at once. He inspired confidence in those who have similar problems, encouraging them to not to get afraid when talking in a public setting.
“I just wanna say something, if you have a speech impediment, there is nothing wrong with us,” Concepcion said. “I have had this stutter since I can remember. Talking is a part of me; this is who I am. I cannot control this. I wanna be a role model for those who may be scared to speak up, who may be afraid and not confident in themselves. I stand with you this weekend, which has taught me a lot about myself and people out here in this world. I appreciate everyone who supports me and has reached out to me after these interviews. Don’t let an outside person’s thoughts or opinions get in the way of you being great or achieving something in life.
“I am blessed to be in the position that I am in, and I want to help give back to those who are scared to speak up, who aren’t as confident. I stand with you. I will always stand with you. We are different for a reason. God has blessed my life in a way I couldn’t even imagine in the past year. I love y’all and support y’all as we climb this mountain together 🤞🏾💯”
KC Concepcion Inspires Ryan Clark and Others
As soon as the word began to spread that KC Concepcion was not stuttering out of nervousness but rather because of his speech impediment conditions, several fans and analysts showed their respect for the wideout.
NFL analyst Ryan Clark was among them as he paid his respect to the wide receiver and became a fan of the Aggies star, who is in the 2026 NFL draft.
“Man!! Keep going KC Concepcion. Was inspiring to see you at the combine. Love what you represented, how you spoke, and never shrunk. Any goofy with something to say is just that… GOOFY! Blessings young man and can’t wait to see where you end up. Always a fan!” Clark wrote on X.
Concepcion inherited this stuttering problem from his father, Kevin Concepcion, who played for Buffalo. He used to take speech classes from an early age, tackle bullies and has grown to be a vocal leader.
