Texas vs Michigan Women’s Basketball Prediction, Starting Lineup And Injury Report for March Madness Elite Eight

After demolishing every single opponent that they have faced so far during March Madness, the No. 1 Texas Longhorns and the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines will now face off during the Elite Eight. Both teams have been dominant so far with comfortable wins against all their opponents.

The Longhorns dominated Missouri State, Oregon and Kentucky during their first three games, while Michigan had easy wins over Holy Cross, NC State and Louisville en route to this Elite Eight showdown. The winner moves on to the Final Four to take on UCLA.

Texas vs Michigan Women’s Basketball March Madness Elite Eight Projected Starting Lineups

    Texas Longhorns

    • F Justice Carlton
    • F Breya Cunningham
    • F Madison Booker
    • G Jordan Lee
    • G Rori Harmon

    Michigan Wolverines

    • F Ashley Sofilkanich
    • G Syla Swords
    • G Mila Holloway
    • G Olivia Olson
    • G Brooke Quarles Daniels

As expected, Texas will have a very potent frontline led by Madison Booker and a deadly backcourt led by Rori Harmon. This could give Michigan a lot of trouble, as the Wolverines lack a bit of size to compete with that Longhorns frontline.

Usually, Michigan could make do with its four guards on the court, but Texas also has a very good backcourt, so things could get interesting.

    Michigan Wolverines

    • Macy Brown: Out for season, knee

Much like their previous games, the Texas Longhorns are entering this contest fully healthy and with a complete rotation.

However, Michigan will be missing junior guard Macy Brown, whose season ended after suffering an ACL tear. While the Wolverines may not have problems with their rotation, missing one of their most promising players could be a big blow.

Texas vs Michigan Women’s Basketball March Madness Elite Eight Prediction

While Michigan has been very dominant so far, the Wolverines may have run into a wall against Texas, as they seem to be outmatched in terms of size. While they have talented guards like Olivia Olson and Syla Swords who could compete against Texas, the Longhorns are just overall too good. This one should be a Texas win.
