Hall is likely in her final season with the Gamecocks, averaging 6.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. In South Carolina’s regular-season finale against Kentucky, she posted five points and one rebound in 17 minutes of play.
Although Hall is not a regular starter in Dawn Staley’s squad, she provides veteran experience to the team, which will be crucial as they head into their first SEC Tournament game on Friday, March 7.
‘She’s an Elevator’ — Dawn Staley Describes Te-Hina Pao Pao’s Role at South Carolina
Pao Pao joined South Carolina from Oregon for her senior season, and she has been phenomenal for the Gamecocks. Known for her three-point shooting skills, Pao Pao is averaging 10.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists on 45.7 shooting per game this season.
Her contribution to the team was not lost Staley, who described the star guard as an “elevator.”
“She’s an elevator, she elevates our team,” South Carolina coach Dawn Staley said, per Greenville News. “When Pao hits a 3-pointer, it allows all of us to exhale because she’s been that potent for us from an offensive standpoint. In the Texas game, we were kind of willing her shots to go in because we know what that means.”
