The 2026 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament started on Wednesday with the Kentucky vs Arkansas matchup. The ninth-ranked Kentucky won 94-64 against the 16th-ranked Arkansas to start the tournament.
For the eighth consecutive year, the SEC women are playing their conference tournament in Greenville. Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks, the winners of the last three consecutive SEC tournament titles, have secured the number one seed once again.
Three other games were played in the First Round, other than the Kentucky vs Arkansas matchup. In game 2, No. 12 Florida won 86-68 against No. 13 Mississippi State. No. 15 Auburn won 50-49 against No. 10 Texas A&M, and No. 11 Alabama won 65-48 against No. 14 Missouri.
Four games have been played in the Second Round matchup as well.
- No. 9 Kentucky vs No. 8 Georgia – 76-61
- No. 5 Oklahoma vs No. 12 Florida – 82-64
- No. 7 Ole Miss vs No. 15 Auburn – 73-57
- No. 11 Alabama vs No. 6 Tennessee – 76-64

- No. 3 Texas vs. No. 11 Alabama (SEC Network)
After the March 6 slate, we’ll have two semi-final matchups on March 7. Both games will be available on ESPN2.
- Winner of Game 9 vs. Winner of Game 10
- Winner of Game 11 vs. Winner of Game 12
The final game of the SEC Tournament will be played on March 8, and fans will be able to watch it on ESPN at 3 pm.

The conclusion of the season also brings the award seasons, and the SEC announced its Women’s Basketball honors on Tuesday. There were some expected winners, like Raven Johnson for SEC Defensive Player of the Year.
