Kim Mulkey’s LSU Tigers have gotten an important recruitment victory, securing the commitment of Iowa State’s Jada Williams. This is the second time in her career that Williams joined the transfer portal, having spent her first two seasons with the Arizona Wildcats. She’s currently considered a four-star recruit by 247Sports and will be a key teammate alongside MiLaysia Fulwiley.
She announced her commitment to the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, when she posted a series of pictures of herself in LSU attire to her Instagram feed. In one of the photos, she can be seen standing alongside Kim Mulkey. In the caption, she wrote:

She also reposted the announcement to her Instagram story, where she wrote:
“LEHHHH GETTTT BUSYYYY😎,” williams wrote on her Instagram story
Kim Mulkey’s Message on Getting Jada Williams to the LSU Tigers Via Transfer Portal
Kim Mulkey spoke with the press Monday about Jada Williams’ decision to commit to the LSU Tigers. She seemed excited about the prospect of getting Williams, and she specifically praised her experience as a valuable asset going forward.
“Jada is a veteran point guard who is more than ready to run the show here in Baton Rouge,” Mulkey said. “She has the ability to create opportunities for teammates but also score at all three levels. Jada plays with an infectious energy that Tiger fans will love.”
Jada Williams has three seasons of experience as a starting guard at Arizona and Iowa State. In her last season, she averaged 15.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game.
In 2025-26, she earned First Team All-Big 12 honors, the second set of end-of-season honors she has gotten in her career, having won All-Freshman Pac-12 honors in 2022-23 with Arizona.
Her move to LSU in her final season could be a move to increase her profile, looking to next year’s WNBA Draft. It would also give Williams a chance to compete for the national title, which the Cyclones proved unable to provide this season.
This led them also to lose Audi Crooks via the transfer portal. For the second year in a row, Iowa State fell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
