Lauren Betts led the UCLA Bruins from the front with 19 points, 14 rebounds and five assists in the 80-60 win against Wisconsin. The 21st consecutive win secured the program’s first outright Big Ten regular-season title since joining the conference. The Bruins celebrated with the Big Ten trophy on Senior Night at Pauley Pavilion.
To celebrate the achievement, Betts made a reel where she posted moments before and after winning the championship. The first shot shows girls ready to storm the court and in the second, it showed celebrating the championship win with the trophy.
“My girls” she wrote.

The Bruins now eye to remain undefeated in the conference as they are currently 17-0 in the Big Ten and 27-1 overall. They have won all their 14 home games, and their road game against the USC Trojans will decide if they become the first team since the 2014-15 season to record an unbeaten season within the conference.
Even before stepping onto the court against Wisconsin, the Big Ten title was already theirs since sixth-ranked Michigan was defeated by No. 13 Iowa.
Lauren Betts Reflects on Experience With UCLA After Proper Senior Day Night
The Bruins seniors couldn’t have asked for a better night than a win at home. With the win, the Bruins finished all their home games staying unbeaten. Lauren Betts called the win “special.”
“Winning a game like this, making history on our senior night has got to be one of the most special moments,” Betts said. “With all the fans here, my family being able to make it out here, my sister being on the same team as me – I mean, it’s kind of crazy. I’m just so happy to be here.”
Betts also expressed gratitude to her fellow seniors while wrapping up her emotional Senior Day experience.
“The whole morning I was kind of reflecting on my experience here at UCLA and how grateful I am to be here and the people here have just really made this experience special for me,” Betts said. “I’m just so grateful for all of my other seniors who I’ve been able to play with this year and past years. I just love these girls so much, so it’s been a really emotional day.”
The Bruins are assured of two more home games as part of hosting first- and second-round games in the NCAA Tournament as one of the top seeds.
