LOOK: Kim Mulkey Blasts Referee After MiLaysia Fulwiley Foul Call

Kim Mulkey is no stranger to iconic on-court moments. She has spent her entire career without holding back her emotions and with her heart on her sleeve, be it celebrations, frustrations, complaints, or just a dialogue with her players.

Almost every player who has played under Mulkey has shared how intense and passionate a coach she is. Angel Reese once revealed that Mulkey would shout and scream to bring out the intensity from her players. Flau’jae Johnson recently reacted to Mulkey’s emotional response to the LSU star’s last home game, saying that the coach scolded her just before the interview.

Despite the intensity, every player knows Mulkey’s intentions, and everybody is grateful for it. Mulkey produces serial winners, and every player who plays under her strives for that success. So when a coach is so dedicated to her job, it is all but natural that she gets animated on the sidelines, especially if it’s the second-round game of the national tournament.

During LSU’s 101-47 win over the Texas Tech Lady Raiders on Sunday, MiLaysia Fulwiley picked up her second foul, and Kim Mulkey was not happy about it. She frantically waved her hands and bent down and up repeatedly. She also pointed to the replay to suggest that MiLaysia shouldn’t have gotten that call. She then went right in the referee’s face. All this while she did not stop screaming and showing her frustration.

LSU was merciless in its win over Texas Tech. Kim Mulkey’s team won 101-47. They had recently set a record for most 100-point games, and they once again ended up on the other side of the three-digit mark.

This was Flau’jae Johnson’s last game at the PMAC, and all eyes were on her. She did not disappoint the home crowd one bit. She finished with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Mikaylah Williams also got 24 points with 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

Texas Tech never really got in the game as LSU was just too good for them. Guard Bailey Maupin scored 19 points with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. But clearly, it wasn’t enough in front of the mighty LSU.
