LOOK: Angry Kim Mulkey Gives MiLaysia Fulwiley Death Stare After Missed Play Call

Kim Mulkey’s death stare? That sounds scary. MiLaysia Fulwiley got a taste of it on Sunday while facing Texas. Playing for LSU and Kim Mulkey comes with a lot of added pressure. Angel Reese said it best when she shared that playing for Kim Mulkey is certainly not for the weak. Flau’jae Johnson, no matter how much fun she makes of her coach, knows what it means to play for Mulkey.

The added pressure of having a stare down in some sparkly outfit or an intense talk is sure not for the weak. But with that pressure comes a lot of growth, individuality and success. Kim Mulkey’s intensity, straight forwardness and passion makes her one of the best coaches in women’s college basketball. It would not be an overstatement to say that she might just be in some of the best basketball coaches around in the world.

She has made LSU a no-nonsense team. She expects the highest level of basketball from her players no matter the opponent, scoreline, situation or the time. So if her calls are ignored, not followed or just not heard, she will have a reaction to it and it is not going to be a nice one. This time MiLaysia Fulwiley was at the receiving end of it.

In the fourth quarter with 2 minutes 24 seconds remaining, Kim Mulkey was seen losing her cool after taking the time out. She shouted something indistinct to her players. A death stare then followed and MiLaysia Fulwiley was apparently the cause of this reaction. Flau’jae just bricked one of her three pointer attempts but there was something that bothered Mulkey before that.

On the offense, Kim wanted Fulwiley to carry the ball and had called a time out in that time. Whatever maybe the reason for not a timely timeout, Mulkey was not happy. Fulwiley passed the ball when Kim wanted her to keep it so that she can take a timeout. This led to a rather scary stare down towards MiLaysia Fulwiley.
