WATCH: Flau’jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow Share Subtle Ode to LSU in WNBA Clash

As the Connecticut Sun faced off against the Seattle Storm, two friends became foes as they represented their WNBA teams, but the bond of the past clearly never died.

Flau’jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow may have been on opposing teams on the night, but it’s clear their common love for LSU was just as important as winning the basketball game for their teams.

Johnson and Morrow were teammates at LSU, and fans may have been wondering how they might react to seeing each other one more time on the court, just on opposing teams. As things turned out, the friendship was stronger than ever.

The eagle eyes of the cameras caught a subtle moment of affection between the duo as they paid homage to their LSU past together with a low-five during the game.

The moment was noted by Flau’jae herself, who retweeted the post and had some more comments about her relationship with Aneesah Morrow after the game.

Kim Mulkey’s Role Recognized by Flau’jae Johnson

Flau’jae Johnson even recognized the contribution of LSU head coach Kim Mulkey as she came up against her former LSU teammate.

“But I’m just excited to see her flourish because, you know, she was really underrated, especially in college,” Johnson said.

“They didn’t think an undersized VA could play, but she could play. Like, she could play. She could shoot that thing. I’m so proud of her. All the work she put in, she humble. And it just showed, like, y’all say what y’all want.”

“LSU, like, Coach Mulkey, like, Mulkey made pros. Like, you know what I’m saying? Pros. We all doing our thing in the W,” she went on. “Shout-out BG was on the court, too. So it was definitely a Moki-love-love reunion. But it was beautiful just seeing her out there flourish. I just, I love it.”
