Chloe Kitts Shares 1-Word Message As Sister Kylie Kitts Earns Prestigious Big Ten Honor

Chloe Kitts’ sister is in the midst of her debut season with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Kylee Kitts has found a way to become a regular in Ohio State’s lineup, despite her status as a freshman. Through the 2025-26 season, she has played in 25 games and started in 19 for the Buckeyes. In the process, she has earned a Big Ten All-Freshman selection.

The announcement of her selection as one of the best freshmen in this women’s college basketball season of the Big Ten was made earlier this Tuesday, and it was immediately replicated by her older, more accomplished sister.

Reposting the Big Ten’s post to her Instagram story, Chloe Kitts added the following short yet thoughtful comment:

    “proud 🥹🥹🥹 @kylee.6”

Kylee Kitts is currently averaging 7.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. Her field goal percentage is 43.6%. Perhaps one of the biggest compliments and recognitions of her impact on the team came in late January, when teammate Jaloni Cambridge said that without her, the Buckeyes were forced to play small ball:

“We’re playing small ball right now,” Cambridge said in January, when Kitts was temporarily forced off the court with an injury. “Unfortunately, Kylee’s not with us. So, it’s hard to get points in the paint when we’re missing one of our big players inside.”

Chloe Kitts to Return For a Final Season With South Carolina in 2026-27

In a press conference last week, coach Dawn Staley might have inadvertently revealed Chloe Kitt’s career plans ahead of time. Kitts has not featured at all this season with the South Carolina Gamecocks, after suffering a season-ending ACL tear in September during preseason.

One of the big questions about her career was if she would return for a final season in 2026-27, by taking a medical redshirt this season, or if she would go ahead with declaring for the WNBA Draft despite her injury. Before the injury, she was considered one of the top prospects for the 2026 WNBA Draft.

Last week, Staley confirmed to the press that she would return with South Carolina next season:

“Chloe will come back next year,” Staley said. “I think she said that on Instagram. Right? Well, as far as I know (she’s coming back). Transfer portal isn’t open yet.”

The kicker? Chloe Kitts had neither confirmed nor denied the decision herself. The coach seemingly spilt the beans on her star’s career plans.
