This Thursday, the WNBA celebrated the All-Star Orange Carpet, and Paige Bueckers didn’t miss it. The event, which serves as the opening for the WNBA All-Star Weekend, was held in Chicago, and the Dallas Wings star attracted everyone’s attention.
During an interview with ESPN’s Jordan Chiles, Bueckers was asked about her sleeveless attire. She jokingly replied:
“My fault my guns are showing.”
This was in reference to her defined arms, which were very prominent. Bueckers was rocking an outfit that consisted of a regular white office shirt and a tie, with the difference that the shirt was sleeveless.
The event was first held in 2019, as a way to kick off the celebrations of the WNBA All-Star weekend in fashion. Since then, it has become a staple of the WNBA All-Star weekend. The idea behind the event is to give players a chance to interact with the press and showcase their fashion and style.
Paige Bueckers helped the Dallas Wings secure a win over the Portland Fire despite injury concerns
There was some worry that Paige Bueckers wouldn’t be available for Wednesday’s game between the Dallas Wings and the Portland Fire. This was after she was involved in an on-court collision during the Wings’ 90-82 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday that resulted in her head hitting the floor late in the fourth quarter.
She was forced to leave that game and was sidelined during Monday’s 99-98 defeat to the New York Liberty.
She returned for the game against the Fire, which Dallas won 101-97. During the game, Bueckers played 37 minutes, while scoring 21 points and recording four rebounds and five assists. She was the team’s second-best scorer, with Arike Ogunbowale leading them with 24 points. Jessica Shepard, the third-best scorer with 18 points, led them in assists and rebounds, with 10 and 15, respectively.
Paige Bueckers is currently averaging 20.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 0.7 steals per game this season.
