“She’ll Say the Same Thing Next Year”: Paige Bueckers Makes Hilarious Prediction for Olivia Miles As She Lists Her Priorities for the WNBA All-Star Weekend
Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers and Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles are two of the most promising players in the WNBA. Bueckers, who is currently in her second year in the league, has just been named an All-Star for the second time in her career. Meanwhile, Miles achieved a rare feat by becoming a WNBA All-Star in just her first season. Nevertheless, both players are considered to be key parts of the WNBA’s future.
With this year’s WNBA All-Star Weekend beginning on Thursday, July 23, the two stars seemingly have different priorities on how they will be spending the weekend. In a post by the WNBA’s Instagram page on the first day of the event, Bueckers and Miles shared what they will be doing this weekend. While Miles is excited to network and connect with people, Bueckers says that she is looking to party all throughout.
“ Probably all the events, there’s just so much networking, so much to do, so many great people here, legends and current players. Excited to be out there and just play with some of the best,” Miles said.
“Getting lit for three days straight, electrolytes, fun times, parties, and a little bit of hoops,” Bueckers shared.
Both Bueckers and Miles have since commented on the post with their own reactions. “She’ll say the same thing next year,” Bueckers hilariously predicted with several laughing emojis, while Miles exclaimed, “YOOOO😭😭.” Both spitfire scorers are expected to grace the court during the annual WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, July 25.

Only 11 WNBA rookies have been named All-Star starters, including Paige Bueckers and Olivia Miles
Like Olivia Miles, Paige Bueckers was named to the All-Star Team in her rookie year last season. However, the two young standouts are not just All-Stars, they are also All-Star starters. In WNBA history, there have only been 11 first-year players to ever be named as an All-Star starter, including Bueckers and Miles. Along with them, other active players such as Indiana Fever stars Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston are also part of the list.
Rounding out the list are the likes of Shoni Schimmel, Brittney Griner, Elena Delle Donne, Maya Moore, Tamika Catchings, Sue Bird, and Chamique Holdsclaw. As for rookie non-starter All-Stars, the list extends to Diana Taurasi, Candace Parker, Nneka Ogwumike, Breanna Stewart, and Rhyne Howard.
