“Now We Got Cuatro Leches”: Indiana Fever Fans Turn Up the Hype After Grace VanSlooten Signing

After the Indiana Fever decided to waive off Shatori Walker-Kimbrough, the franchise announced the signing of Grace VanSlooten. The decision highlights the team’s focus on its frontcourt, given the strength they already possess in the backcourt. And the Fever fanbase has welcomed the new rookie to the team.

The Fever’s official channel on Instagram shared the update and wrote:

“we have signed forward Grace VanSlooten”

Even though VonSlooten was drafted 39th overall in 2025, fans did not hesitate to show their support for the rookie forward. The Fever had a deadline to fill the empty roster spot after one day of announcing the waiver.

One referred to the famous trio of the Fever, Tres Leches, for Caitlin Clark, Lexie Hull, and Sophie Cunningham, and gave them a new name. The user wrote:

    “Now we got “cuatro leches””

Another fan welcomed the forward to the roster and wrote:

“Welcome! Finally, some size in the paint! Let’s go!!”

One more user was happy about the size of the team and wrote:

“Finally a player with some HEIGHT! Much needed!”

    “Let’s go gracer🔥”

The Seattle Storm drafted Grace VanSlooten, where she averaged 4.3 points and played just four games. Caitlin Clark, Tyasha Harris, Kelsey Mitchell, and Sophie Cunningham have handled the offense well, but the team has lacked scoring size besides Aliyah Boston.

Indiana Fever set to meet the Valkyries next

The Fever is now set to battle with the Valkyries in its next bout. Caitlin Clark’s absence raised several questions after the last game. The superstar guard didn’t feature in the injury report, as the team said that they were managing nothing.

Moreover, head coach Stephanie White did not give any specific answer to the media about Clark’s injury. She just said that the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year was suffering from a sore back.

Clark is probable for the Valkyries game and is expected to be on the court. She has led the team’s scoring thus far, and as a leader, she should remain with her squad.
