Caitlin Clark and Team Spoon faced her Indiana Fever teammate, Kelsey Mitchell and Team Coop in the 2026 WNBA All-Star game on Saturday. In the end, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year emerged victorious with her team, with a 129-122 final score.
However, Kesley Mitchell also made a statement with her performance in this year’s All-Star showdown. In the post-game press conference, Caitlin Clark did not shy away from heaping praise on her Fever teammate. She also expressed her desire to be paired alongside Mitchell even in future All-Star games.
“I swear she doesn’t miss any shots,” Clark said. “So, I’m just really glad she’s on my team and I get to be her teammate. She obviously makes my life real easy.
“So I hope this is the only time in my entire career that she’s on another team, or the other All-Star games. I guess I can allow it. But still, I would prefer she’s on my side. She’s incredible.”
Kelsey Mitchell was the highest scorer in Saturday’s game. She put up 28 points with four rebounds and two assists. On the other hand, Caitlin Clark scored 17 points with four rebounds and five assists.
Kelsey Mitchell played for Ohio State during her collegiate career. The Indiana Fever drafted her with the No. 2 pick in 2018. So far, she has played in 304 games and averaged 17.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

Caitlin Clark’s mom, Anne Nizzi-Clark, who also serves as the director of the Caitlin Clark Foundation. Before this, she was the vice president of product marketing at American Enterprise Group Inc.
During Saturday’s press conference after the WNBA All-Star game, Clark highlighted her relationship with her mother and expressed gratitude for her presence in her life.
“Probably my mom, somebody I talk to every single day,” Clark said. “We don’t talk about basketball literally at all. That’s like a really nice escape for me to just talk about life. And she just wants the best for me.
“Anytime they get to see me compete, have fun and enjoy what I’m doing, that brings them a lot of joy too. And I really enjoy sharing that with the people in my life that really care.”
Clark is in the middle of her third year with the Indiana Fever.
