Caitlin Clark Finally Breaks Silence on Raven Johnson College Rivalry as Locker Room Feelings Made Clear

There have been several doubts on social media regarding Caitlin Clark’s relationship with Raven Johnson after their college banter. Recently, Clark clarified all rumors and opened up about the locker-room relationship with the former South Carolina Gamecocks guard. The Fever have had a mixed bag of outcomes in the initial few games of the 2026 season, but everything seems to be fine behind the scenes.

The Fever won their last game against the Seattle Storm after a difficult overtime loss to the Washington Mystics. Clark has led the team with 24.3 points and 9.0 assists thus far, but she took her time after her long hiatus from the WNBA. Johnson has played limited minutes off the bench.

Featuring on the recent episode of the Post Moves by Candace Parker and Aliyah Boston, Clark talked about her college tussles and relationship with Johnson and said:

“We just joke about it. I just joke about the South Carolina things, and they love it. I always say, ‘go Cocks’, and I join them… Raven is great, she is so fun in the locker room. She would say the same, and I mean, it’s not like we are reminiscing about our college days together like we’ve more important things going on, I guess.”

When the two guards played in college, Clark famously mocked Johnson for her dismal shooting percentage from deep with her on-court gestures. In one game, she preferred not defending the Gamecocks’ guard on the perimeter and gave an open shot. The incident drew criticism from fans online, and Johnson even talked about it in an interview.

“I have to grab her,” Aliyah Boston talks about Caitlin Clark’s recent tussles with refs

In the same conversation, Candace Parker, Aliyah Boston, and Caitlin Clark also talked about the 2024 Rookie of the Year’s recent disagreements with officials. The Fever superstar has even been called out by fans on social media for her constant whining on the court.

However, Boston shared the hilarious behind-the-scenes stories and said:

“She (Clark) will like walk up to them, and she’ll be like ‘Are you kidding me?’ and I’ll be like ‘hey’ and I have to grab her, and we have to walk away, and then, I’m like grabbing her, and she’s turning around to look at them, and she’s still talking smack.”

On the outside, everything looks well inside the Fever locker room. However, Clark’s relationship with head coach Stephanie White is still uncertain. Changes in offensive strategies have made it hard for them to get consistent results.

However, Clark looks more comfortable with every game, and that’s good news for fans. After the last game, she even talked about mentoring the younger squad and how Johnson asks a lot of questions. Caitlin Clark said she was happy to answer them and help Johnson develop into a better player.
