Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever are going strong so far this season. They have won 4 out of 6 games, and are currently 2nd in the WNBA table. They won their last three games and that too comfortably. Despite a promising start, Fever has had some injury problems. Clark has had some back issues which caused her to miss one game.
Controversy ensued in that very game as the Fever announced Clark’s unavailability too late. Head coach Stephanie White and her team then got a warning from the WNBA that they must submit the squad list before 5 PM one day prior to the game. This also gave birth to speculations of rift between Clark and the management.
There was a clear argument between Clark and White during a game which eventually was revealed to be about court positioning during the game. Clark clarified later on that even her mom found out about her missing out on a game just 40 minutes before it was announced. However, it isn’t just Caitlin who has dealt with minor injuries. Aliyah Boston, Myisha Hines-Allen and Lexie Hull all have come back from injuries.
As Lexie Hull returned from her hamstring issues, Clark pointed out one habit of hers that stresses her out. “She’s been great since coming back from the hamstring injury. I told her she needs to stop falling down so much. She’s just constantly falling down, it stresses me out. She’s got this cut on her leg that won’t stop bleeding because she’s always on the ground,” Caitlin Clark said with a little smirk on her face.
Fans react to Caitlin Clark’s caution to teammate Lexie Hull
Fans were in total agreement with Clark. They also wanted Lexie to be at her 100% fitness and at her best.
“She is literally echoing what every Fever fan thinks,” fan captioned.
“It’s her slippery shoes. Get different shoes Lexie Its a no brainer it’s your shoes,” one fan suggested.
“Thought she was talking about SGA,” one fan joked.
“Yeah, we see Lexie falling down going for loose balls in real games. What we don’t see is her doing the same in practice games. It must take a toil on her body,” another fan noted.
“Lexie needs full body armor,” one fan said.
“She needs knee pads,” another commented.
